How We Worked Together
Our team collaborated through a mix of individual ownership and shared decision-making. Each member took responsibility for specific tasks based on strengths, while major design choices—such as mechanism direction, prototyping results, and visual style—were discussed and refined together. We iterated quickly, tested often, and adjusted our plan whenever we discovered new challenges during fabrication.
Team Reflection
Through this project, we learned how challenging it is to combine mechanical fabrication with timed electronic control. Many early mechanisms failed due to friction and alignment issues, which taught us the importance of precision and iteration. We gained a deeper understanding of how to integrate structure, sensors, and motion into a working prototype. If given more time, we would improve the stability of the pop-up pathway and explore fully 3D-printed internal components for smoother performance.
